We’re thrilled to share our team spirit with the aim of fielding at least 2 teams for each middle school grade level, featuring 10-12 players per crew.

Get ready for positive vibes! Our teams, curated by skill level, are set to embark on epic travel experiences. But it’s not just about the games – it’s a personal growth journey. We want every team to have the opportunity to travel to a tournament.

Each team will enjoy a mini-adventure, whether it’s in Sacramento or Santa Cruz – creating lasting memories with their teammates! So, mark your calendar, as the club team season unfolds from March to June for spring/summer excitement, and picks back up in September and October for the fall season fun!

Prepare to join the winning team – because with us, it’s all about elevating your game in the most uplifting way possible! Your team fees serve as your golden ticket to greatness, granting access to top-notch practice facilities and coaches so impressive, they’re practically superhero material – and rest assured, they’ve undergone thorough background checks to ensure safety and excellence!

When we hit the road for those exciting tournaments, our coaches’ travel expenses are covered – including transportation, lodging, and even some meals. However, for players and parents, your travel journey is your own adventure and a personal expense. Trust us, the experiences are worth it. And while we’re not helicopter parents, we’ve got your back during games – it’s game time, after all!

We won’t supervise your child except during games, but we can assist in other aspects. Need a ride or a bunk buddy for the hotel? We’re here to make sure you’re in good company – whether you need a ride or a bunk buddy for the hotel. And when it comes to tournaments, Underdogs Basketball has your entry fees covered. Plus, we might even surprise you with more tournaments than initially promised – because exceeding expectations is what we’re all about!

Elevate your game and immerse yourself in the vibe at our tryouts – the gateway to joining the winning team! We conduct tryouts twice a year: in late February or early March for the Spring/Summer season (March – July), and again in late August for the Fall season (September – November). We’re actively seeking the next stars to join our ranks. 

To register for our tryouts, simply create a free account and join our mailing list. We’ll notify you when registration opens, usually at least a month in advance. Every player in our program is a VIP at tryouts, with our coaching squad ready to witness your magic on the court each season. Within a week post-tryouts, we’ll reach out to your inbox with the inside scoop – did you make the cut? It’s like unwrapping a present!

With limited spots and the competition heating up, we can’t take everyone on board. If the hoops gods didn’t align this time, no sweat – keep shining and consider coming back for more seasons! We’re always happy to communicate why your child did not make the team and provide recommendations for improvement. Our goal is to turn the tryout process into a positive journey for each player. We aim to schedule as many weekend games as possible throughout the season. At the beginning of each season, we’ll provide you with the potential weekends for showdowns. Each tournament is a unique adventure run by different clubs with their own rules and venues. While this may bring some challenges, we strive to relay information as soon as we receive it from tournament directors.

Games are typically played on weekends and usually consist of three games filled with pure excitement. Game times can vary between 8 am and 7 pm, contingent on previous results. Please keep your weekends open when there is a tournament.

Tournament schedules are typically provided by directors on Thursday evening, although some may be quicker or later. We understand this can be frustrating for weekend planning, but it’s the nature of AAU basketball. We do our best to communicate information as soon as possible. Additionally, most tournaments have apps or websites where you can view game details. It might feel like a hustle sometimes, but get ready to lace up those sneakers, hit the courts, and let’s turn every weekend into a highlight reel!
